www.idopweb.com : Home : What is iDOP? The ProblemAccording to WHO, the main causes of antimicrobial resistance are under use of antibiotics in developing countries and overuse, including inappropriate and unnecessary use, of antibiotics in industrialized countries. Identifying trends and strategies to combat this problem is complex for hospitals to do. (For more information see our Background page). What is iDOP?The Infectious Diseases Outcomes Project (iDOP) is a project designed to collect, analyze and provide reports to hospitals on infectious disease data that will help hospitals identify important trends and information about drug utilization and hospital practices. Reports are confidential to participating hospitals and include very specific information. Aggregate reports are also provided to provide benchmarking. Who can participate?Hospitals that wish to participate in this program can fill out a preliminary questionnaire and the iDOP team will be in contact to work with you. Participation is free and includes benefits such as specific hospital reports and trending comparison data. The kind of data iDOP is looking for and more information about our technology team can be read on our Technology Management page. |
